California-based insurance brokerage ALKEME announced its acquisition of Becker Benefit Group, an employee benefits agency based in Towson, Maryland. This marks ALKEME’s first acquisition in the state.
Becker Benefit Group offers benefits, healthcare plan and risk management consulting for businesses and individuals. It was founded by Gary Becker more than 30 years ago.
“This acquisition is a significant milestone as our first in Maryland and a testament to our commitment to expanding our benefits practice in key markets,” said Curtis Barton, CEO of ALKEME Insurance.
ALKEME is a full-service insurance agency providing commercial and personal insurance, employee and executive benefits, retirement and wealth management services. Since its founding in 2020 by six agency owners who decided to merge, ALKEME has completed more than 50 acquisitions. It now has 60 locations in 24 states. ALKEME is ranked by Insurance Journal one of the top 35 largest agencies in the country.
