
The MEMIC Group, headquartered in Portland, Maine, promoted Karl Lagasse to vice president of business technology and hired Jason Ennis as director of architecture and innovation.
Lagasse oversees the project management, software engineering, and quality assurance teams while spearheading the newly formed architecture and innovation team. This team will focus on advancing MEMIC’s artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. His expanded responsibilities encompass strategic planning, project delivery, and accelerating business solutions through application development and low-code platforms. Lagasse joined MEMIC in 2021 and has two decades of insurance technology experience.

Ennis has 29 years of experience in IT, including 18 years specializing in enterprise, business and technical architecture. He has held key leadership roles at several insurance companies, including enterprise architecture manager at MMG Insurance, technical architect at Unum and enterprise services manager at Wolters Kluwer.
