Ames & Gough, headquartered in Washington, D.C., appointed equity partners Allison Barefoot and Marguerite Parent as senior vice presidents.

Appointed an equity partner of Ames & Gough in 2023, Barefoot, who is based in the Washington D.C. office, has nearly 25 years of insurance brokerage experience. She joined Ames & Gough in 2013 and was appointed a vice president three years later. Previously, she was with USI Insurance Services for 12 years and held a variety of positions, culminating with her appointment as commercial lines account executive and team leader.

Based in the Ames & Gough Boston, Massachusetts, office, Parent was appointed an equity partner in 2019. She has 25 years of experience in insurance brokerage and risk management consulting. She joined Ames & Gough in 2006, after having served with William Gallagher Associates in Boston, where she was creator and manager of that firm’s Emerging Client Group. Earlier, she was an account manager with the Thomas E. Sears Insurance Agency.
