The U.K.’s Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) Faculty of Insurance Broking in conjunction with the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) announced plans to hold a regional program of “Engineering Insurance Masterclasses,” in February and March.

The series will be presented as part of the Faculty of Insurance Broking’s educational program by expert Roger Small in Belfast, Bristol, Ipswich, London and Birmingham.

Faculty of Insurance Broking manager, Jessica Yeoh stated: “The Faculty aims to support professionalism in broking by encouraging the highest standards of technical knowledge and business skills. The Engineering Masterclass program covers the key areas in which brokers must demonstrate competence in order to provide professional advice.”

The classes are aimed “at the practitioner with at least intermediate knowledge of engineering as a subject, the masterclass will highlight ways in which brokers can ensure their clients comply with legislative and health and safety issues in the UK, Europe and internationally,” said the CII bulletin.

Each masterclass counts towards structured CII CPD credits and runs from 10.00 to 15.30, including lunch and refreshments. Attendance costs £95 for Faculty of Insurance Broking members and £105 for CII and BIBA members.
