Marsh’s London office announced the appointment of William Diaz as head of Marsh Client Technologies, “a newly formed unit that comprises MarshConnect, the firm’s global client technology interface, and CS STARS.”

Diaz will work with Marsh’s clients and the firm’s leaders in a wide variety of disciplines to enhance the firm’s client-facing technology resources and capabilities. He reports to Joseph McSweeny, President of US/Canada Operations for Marsh.

McSweeny commented: “By aligning our client-facing technologies under a single business leader, we expect to achieve synergies that accelerate our ability to develop enhanced technology-based solutions and services and to make them available to a wider range of clients. Bill is a proven leader who can help to bring our industry leading client-facing technologies to a new level.”

Diaz has been with Marsh for nearly 14 years and has served in a variety of leadership roles with CS STARS, including global sales manager. During the past two years, he has led the firm’s MarshConnect client interface. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Marsh noted that its Client Technologies division “has more than 650 employees worldwide and serves over 1,500 clients. CS STARS serves the technology needs of risk management professionals, as well as insurance carriers and third-party administrators – delivering integrated software and services that support risk management, claims administration, compliance management, bill review, and data management. Its software and services help clients improve business processes, manage costs and reduce risk.
