The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies announced that Samantha Froud, Group Financial Controller, has been named Chief Administration Officer for the company’s Bermuda-based operations. She joined ACE in 2001 as Group Financial Controller for the ACE Group.
As of January 1, 2011 she will assume the responsibilities of Lori Samson, who has announced her retirement from ACE after 20 years of service.
Froud’s new responsibilities will include “management of the human resources function in Bermuda, budgeting, facilities management, business continuity planning and administrative oversight for the ACE Group in Bermuda,” said the bulletin. “She will also have responsibilities for executive and board of director compensation matters,” and will report to ACE Limited Chairman and CEO Evan G. Greenberg.
He congratulated Froud on her “new assignment,” and cited her “proven track record of professional accomplishments and substantial experience in our company’s global accounting and finance functions.”
He also stated: “On behalf of my colleagues and our Board of Directors, I also want to extend our sincere appreciation to Lori for her outstanding service to ACE and the Bermuda community.”
