Guiry to Succeed Doubtfire as Marketform CFO

August 8, 2011

London-based specialist Lloyd’s insurer Marketform has announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, Paul Guiry, who replaces long standing CFO, Roger Doubtfire, who is retiring.

Group CEO Simon Turner commented: “Roger has overseen the financial operations of Marketform during a period of significant development. From a relatively small operation underwriting primarily one class of business, to a company with over 150 employees and now offering expertise and service in many classes of business.”

“Roger brought with him experience from his time as Deputy Manager of the Lloyd’s Underwriting Agents Department and Finance Manager of a large Lloyd’s managing agency, and we have reaped the rewards from his steady hand, wise counsel and financial acumen.”

“We shall all be sad to see Roger go and wish him well in his retirement whilst welcoming Paul to 8, Lloyd’s Avenue. Paul brings with him 20 years of financial management experience with a number of insurance organizations that augurs well for the next stage in Marketform’s development,” Turner added.

Guiry joined Marketform on August 1st from 6 years as Finance Director at AEGIS London. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President at ALEA, the Finance Manager at Zurich Re (London) and the UK CFO for Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.”
