I guess I should know better than to read any Reuters article about the climate even though this one didn’t bleat about how the Arctic ice got thinner.
I suppose you also think that the major body of science doesn’t support global warming also. Living In Ohio you won’t see the tide rising. However, you may not like the almost year long summer. Reading more may not be as bad as you think. It’s always a good strategy to know where the other fellow is coming from. Otherwise, you might as well live in outterspace – nothing there but icebugs.
No, as a matter of fact the major body of science does NOT believe in man made global warming. The planet’s climate changes in cycles, something I learned in a great deal of reading.
My ex took an Earth Science class in college 4 years ago and she and the other students were directed to do a paper on this very topic. The catch was, the professor was adamant that nobody take the position that man made global warming was a load of sewage. In two months of concerted effort she was able to produce a paper that cast so much doubt on the pseudo science Algore propaganda that the professor was forced to accept the paper and gave in a B plus. He would not,however, let her present her paper to the class.
I am a scientist by training (Physics) and I understand very well how theories are developed and how they can be corrupted by political views. The recent cimtategate scandals illustrate that perfectly.I am very aware of where the other fellow is coming from and I also know their backgrounds.
