Catlin Group Limited has formed partnerships with two specialist risk management consultancies to enhance its services to clients with hijack, kidnap, extortion and wrongful detention exposures.
The Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer began working with both Drum Cussac and Compass Risk Management on Jan. 1.
Drum Cussac has provided maritime protection over the past decade and offers the support of a dedicated maritime operations team and a response center based in Poole, UK. The company has offices in North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia/the Pacific.
Compass Risk Management specializes in both prevention and safe resolution of piracy, kidnap and extortion. The company is owned and staffed by professionals that each have more than 15 years of experience in crisis management.
