London-based Xchanging plc, a business process and technology services provider and integrator, has announced that Andrew Binns was appointed Executive Director of its Technology Services business, effective January 3, 2012.
He is based in London, and will also become a member of the Xchanging Executive Board, reporting directly to chief executive Ken Lever.
Xchanging explained that its Technology Services business is focused on “on providing flexible, innovative services which embrace leading edge technologies. Xchanging’s software services are consumed by 160 brokers and insurers in the commercial insurance market globally. It also provides complex, critical, high availability systems to a number of the UK’s national infrastructures.”
Prior to joining Xchanging, Binns was CEO of global services at Temenos Group, a provider of packaged banking software, where he “implemented a new global business strategy resulting in business growth and the development of offshore centers.” He previously served as Managing Director of Aon BPO and Consulting; Chief Executive of software company Netengines, and Director of the managed services division of ICL (now Fujitsu).
