Chartis announced the appointment of Tom Macfarlane to head UK Energy. He will report to Jacqueline McNamee, Executive Director, Commercial Lines UK and Alf Muller, Senior Vice President and Head of Europe Energy and Property.
McNamee noted Macfarlane’s “breadth of experience in insurance, together with more than twenty years of focus in the energy sector,” indicating that it “makes him the ideal appointment to deliver continued sustainable, profitable growth for one of Chartis’ most dynamic, market-leading underwriting portfolios.”
Macfarlane most recently served as a Senior Vice President in the Global Energy team at Chartis. He joined the company in 2009 as an Oil and Petrochemical underwriter and subsequently transferred to New York to work in the Global Energy Division.
