    “We are not supportive of putting additional resources into the IMF so that that money can be used to bail out countries in Europe that can deal with their own challenge,” Makes sense to me. Makes so much sense that we could apply it to the individual level in addition to the country level

    The big mistake was to allow countries to float sovereign debt, which has become a proxy for their old national currencies. Just watch the daily quotes on the “spreads” between national bond issues.
    Should of had a real central bank and not allow any country to run a deficit. It’s hard to believe that the Euro trades at a premium to the dollar. The Germans are carrying the load.
