Yu Joins Cooper Gay Asia to Develop Treaty Business in Hong Kong & China

Cooper Gay Asia Pte Ltd, the Asian arm of the global reinsurance and wholesale broker Cooper Gay Swett and Crawford (CGSC), announced the appointment of Julian Yu as Deputy Head of Treaty, Hong Kong, effective October 2nd.

He will be responsible for production and placement of Treaty business in Hong Kong, in addition to developing Cooper Gay’s business in the Chinese market. Yu will report to David Yip, Head of Treaty, who commented: “China is a key target for Cooper Gay Asia, and we are committed to growing both our Hong Kong team and our coverage of the Chinese market.”

Yu joins Cooper Gay Asia from Aon Benfield, where he was Director for Client Services, with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. He has been a property underwriter for direct and facultative markets in Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong.
