Hub International Limited announced that its Ontario subsidiary, Hub International Sinclair Cockburn Limited, has acquired a commercial line book of business from independent broker Lisa Cook. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“Cook will join Hub’s Markham, Ontario office bringing with her a depth of experience in the region’s growing life sciences industry,” the bulletin said. “She will support Hub Ontario’s regional efforts to expand its general middle-market commercial business, focusing on healthcare, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.”
Hub International also explained that it is “committed to growth through organic efforts and acquisitions. It continues its aggressive pace of identifying and acquiring entrepreneurial brokers that are dedicated and focused on providing local market specialization, while at the same time looking to leverage the resources and tools of a global brokerage.”
