Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed Paul Woodward as Head of Liability for its Company platform.
He has more than 30 years’ experience in the liability insurance market, and will underwrite Employers, Product and Public Liability risks for clients in the European corporate sector. The bulletin said Woodward’s role would “complement Tokio Marine Kiln’s specialist liability product portfolio led by Chris Jones in Lloyd’s, significantly enhancing the group’s overall product range in the class.
Peter Leslie, Chief Underwriting Officer for Tokio Marine Kiln’s Company platform, said the appointment “forms an important part of our strategy to broaden our capabilities in the corporate market, where he has strong relationships and expertise.
“As broker placing strategies have changed to address clients’ needs, there is increased demand from major brokers to provide multi-line capability, which Paul will work to meet. He is joining at an exciting time following the formation of Tokio Marine Kiln as an international, dual platform business operating in the Lloyd’s and Company markets and will support our strategy to deliver continued profitable growth.”
