Bermuda-based Ironshore has named Daniel Owen as senior vice president of the Global Property Energy division, effective immediately. Owen, who joined Ironshore in 2011, is currently senior vice president of Global Property Builder’s Risk business lines and will continue in that role.
Global Property Energy offers specialty insurance programs for the property energy sector, including midstream and downstream oil and gas production, mining, heavy industries, chemical/petrochemical manufacturing, alternative energy, cogeneration, and electric utilities.
Ironshore underwrites policy coverage with capacity limits of up to $35 million available for all classes of business for property energy risks.
“Dan’s expertise in underwriting complex commercial construction and his 15 years’ experience in underwriting in the energy sector makes him ideally suited to assume the additional responsibility of overseeing the emerging property energy exposures in today’s market,” stated Tony Mammolite, president, Ironshore Global Property.
