The Bermuda-based Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. announced that David Snowden has been appointed to serve as senior vice president, group communications and public relations.
Argo Group Head of Group Marketing and Communications Gary Grose noted Snowden’s “broad range of communication experience …along with a very strong background in the financial services industry;” adding that “the company continues to raise its global profile, and David’s experience managing industry-leading, global communications programs will serve us well.”
Snowden will be responsible for all communications activities, including employee communications; customer communications; financial communications; media relations; digital communications; and social media.
He joins Argo Group from Natixis Global Asset Management where he served as senior vice president of public relations for the U.S. and the company’s global affiliates. Prior to joining Natixis in 2012, Snowden held several roles at the Hartford Financial Services Group serving as the head of corporate media relations and as the head of public relations for the company’s insurance operations. From 1993 to 2008, Snowden held communications and public affairs positions at USAA—ultimately serving as executive director of public affairs from 2006 to 2008.
Snowden received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Incarnate Word College and a master’s degree in organizational communications from St. Mary’s University. He is also accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America.
