RenaissanceRe Holdings said that its chief investment officer and treasurer will be leaving the Bermuda-based reinsurer in the 2017 first quarter. Two people will take over his responsibilities.
Todd Fonner, who also has the title of senior vice president, will be leaving as of March 31, 2017 “to pursue other opportunities,” RenaissanceRe said, without offering further details.
“We are grateful for the talent and dedication [Fonner] brought to his roles at RenaissanceRe over the course of the past 15 years,” Chief Financial Officer Robert Qutub said in prepared remarks.
Qutub added that Fonner “will support us in an advisory capacity for a period following his departure.”
To replace Fonner, Sean Brosnan will be promoted to senior vice president and chief investment officer. Right now, he’s vice president, managing director, investments of Renaissance Services of Europe, Ltd., and CEO of Renaissance Reinsurance of Europe. Aditya Dutt, meanwhile, will become treasure, but keep his existing positions of president, RenaissanceRe Ventures, and senior vice president.
Brosnan has been with RenaissanceRe since 2004. Dutt joined the company in 2008.
