April 11, 2018

Marsh announced it has appointed Christos Adamantiadis as CEO of a newly combined Middle East and Africa region. The broker also has appointed Ayman El Hout as country leader for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Based in Dubai, Adamantiadis will join Marsh on May 1 and will report to Flavio Piccolomini, president of Marsh International. Adamantiadis will assume responsibility for all of Marsh’s operations across the Middle East and Africa.

He brings 25 years of management experience, most recently as CEO of Dubai-based Oman Insurance Company (OIC), a leading composite insurer in the Middle East. Previously, he spent 20 years at AIG, overseeing its operations in several geographies including the Middle East, North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia.

Ayman El Hout’s appointment as country leader for the UAE becomes effective on June 1. He also will be based in Dubai and will report to Adamantiadis. He brings over 34 years of experience in underwriting and reinsurance roles in the region, most recently as deputy chief executive officer of Al Sagr National Insurance. Prior to this, he had held senior level positions at Medgulf Group, working across the Middle East.

“Marsh is committed to delivering superior value for clients wherever they operate. By uniting our businesses in the Middle East and across Africa, we will be able to better leverage the talents and expertise of Marsh colleagues for the benefit of clients,” said Piccolomini.
