Hamilton Underwriting Ltd., the managing agency of Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, announced that Neil Lee-Amies has joined the agency as head of Treaty.
Lee-Amies reports to Active Underwriter Miles Osorio. Osorio and Adrian Daws succeeded Trevor Carvey as active underwriter following Carvey’s resignation in February.
Lee-Amies brings more than 30 years’ broking and underwriting experience to his new role. He comes to Hamilton Underwriting Ltd. from Chubb Insurance Co. where he has been employed for nearly 11 years, most recently as head of Marine and Energy Treaty for Chubb Tempest Re following the takeover of Chubb by ACE Ltd.
Prior to joining Chubb, Lee-Amies was employed at Wurttembergische UK Ltd. (now Antares Underwriting Services Ltd.) as marine non proportional treaty manager/underwriter. His earlier roles include four years as deputy marine excess of loss underwriter at Eagle Star Reinsurance Co. Ltd.
Lee-Amies is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
