Global insurance broker Gallagher has acquired commercial insurance broker Pavey Group Holdings in the southwest UK.
With offices in Torquay, Exeter and Holsworthy in Devon, and Highbridge in Somerset, Pavey Group was established in 1971 and has spent more than 40 years working with a range of industry sectors including construction, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, professional services, motor trade, property owners, care and charitable organisations.
Its Torquay office is the base for a specialist team of advisers behind Cottagesure, a bespoke insurance scheme for owners of holiday homes and cottage complexes across the UK. Pavey Group also has a long-standing relationship with farming cooperative Mole Valley Farmers, which has helped it growing in the agricultural sector following the launch of Mole Insurance Services in 2014.
Managing Director Graham Brown, and the existing director team, and Pavey’s 83 employees will become part of Gallagher’s retail branch network, which serves its customers from more than 50 locations around the UK.
