Hub International Ltd., the Chicago-based insurance broker, announced it has acquired Forum Risques et Assurance Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Forum is a boutique insurance brokerage and risk management firm founded by François Jean and Alain Giroux. Forum is known for its creative solutions and expertise in high-risk industries, such as technology, manufacturing and construction, which complement and strengthen Hub’s existing specialty solutions.
Jean, Giroux and their team will join Hub Quebec and report to Robert Dunn, vice chairman and executive vice president of Hub Quebec.
“By joining Hub, we are providing both our clients and colleagues with a strong network and invaluable resources, while maintaining a highly personal approach to advising clients,” said Jean.
“Hub has an exceptional construction practice, and we are excited by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of Hub’s capabilities in this specialty sector,” said Giroux.
