Lloyd’s of London announced that Jennifer Rigby has been appointed chief operations officer (COO).
Rigby has been performing the role on an interim basis since March this year, following the departure of former COO Shirine Khoury-Haq. Her remit as Lloyd’s COO includes business transformation, global operations, data, IT, innovation and corporate real estate.
Rigby joined Lloyd’s in May 2017 as chief information officer with responsibilities that included technology transformation, cyber security and innovation as part of Lloyd’s overall strategy.
She began her career at the BBC and held several senior roles in the public sector including the National Archives, Home Office and Department of Energy and Climate Change before moving to Telefónica UK (O2) in 2014.
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
