Marsh, the insurance broker and risk adviser, announced that John Drzik, president, Global Risk and Digital (GR&D), will step back from full-time responsibilities as leader of GR&D effective Jan. 1, 2020, but will remain involved with the business as a senior adviser.
In this new role, he will work with John Doyle, president and CEO of Marsh, and the Marsh Executive Committee on strategic risk and digital issues. He will also continue to serve as chairman of Marsh & McLennan Insights.
Before joining Marsh in 2014, Mr. Drzik was a founding colleague and later CEO of Oliver Wyman, another business of Marsh & McLennan, where he played a key role in establishing the firm’s leadership position in financial services strategy and risk management consulting. He was named President of Oliver Wyman in 1995 and Chairman in 2000.
“John has been a driving force behind Marsh’s digital strategy, while also leading our consulting, data and analytics, small commercial and consumer businesses,” said Doyle. “As a respected thought leader on strategy, risk management and insurance, I am glad he will be advising us on how we can continue to use our deep data and analytics capabilities to enable clients to meet the challenges of the fast-changing global risk landscape.”
