Rob McAdams will be joining the Munich Re Syndicate as head of Marine. Based in London, he will oversee the global syndicate’s marine portfolio and help drive the underwriting business across cargo, fine art & specie, hull, yacht, and war, with a focus on providing clients with comprehensive and competitive risk solutions.

With more than 20 years of experience, McAdams was previously global marine chief underwriting officer at AXA XL, where he led the underwriting team in the development, execution and accountability of the financial and operational plans across multiple legal entities (including Lloyd’s), products and geographies.
McAdams succeeds Simon Parnell who is retiring after 21 years at the syndicate.
“As one of the largest underwriters of marine insurance in Lloyd’s, we are delighted that an individual of the caliber of Rob McAdams will be joining the Munich Re Syndicate as our head of Marine,” said Dominick Hoare, group chief underwriting officer for the Munich Re Syndicate.
