Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Co. has named Jeffrey Livingston as global head of Sales, effective September 1. Livingston will also join the Guy Carpenter Executive Committee.
In this newly created role, Livingston will be responsible for leading all of Guy Carpenter’s sales activities, as well as developing commercial strategies to help clients realize their business growth goals.
Livingston brings almost 30 years of industry experience to the role, operating extensively in the broking arena and across both the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Most recently, he was vice chair, North America, at Willis Re and prior to that was director of Portfolio Solutions at Marsh. Earlier in his career, he also held senior positions at Willis Re after starting his professional journey at Sedgwick Re.

Livingston will report to Peter Hearn, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter, which is a business of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
Hearn said the firm created the new position because reinsurance solutions have become an “increasingly strategic component of effective capital management” and the firm wants to ensure it’s delivering the best it has to offer clients.
