Everest Promotes Voralia as CUO, Global Reinsurance
Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Group Ltd., announced that Jiten Voralia has been named chief underwriting officer for Global Reinsurance, effective immediately.
He succeeds Chris Downey, who was recently promoted to executive vice president and group CUO, and will report to Jill Beggs, EVP and CEO of Reinsurance.

Leveraging more than two decades of global industry experience across underwriting, actuarial and portfolio management, Voralia will lead the underwriting strategy for Everest’s global reinsurance operation, continuing Everest’s track record of delivering the highest standards of discipline and excellence.
With extensive global industry leadership experience, Voralia joined Everest in 2022 and was most recently head of North America Treaty Reinsurance, where he led the profitable growth of the company’s portfolio across the U.S. Bermuda and Canada.
Prior to Everest, Voralia held various casualty treaty underwriting and actuarial leaderships positions with Swiss Re in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Before that, he served as an actuary for Benfield in London and Sydney and PwC in London. Voralia holds a Master of Science in Mathematics with first class honors from Imperial College London.
In addition to his new role, Voralia will continue to serve as Head of North America Treaty Reinsurance until his successor is appointed.

BHSI Appoints Spink as Head of Marine, Australasia
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced that Anna Spink will lead the company’s marine specialty lines as head of Marine, Australasia.
Spink joined BHSI in 2018 and was most recently national manager, Corporate Property, in Australia. She has nearly 35 years of insurance industry experience spanning the UK and Australian markets.
In her new role, Spink will oversee BHSI’s marine cargo, marine liability, marine hull, pleasure craft, plant and equipment, general property and heavy motor portfolios. She is based in Sydney and can be reached at anna.spink@bhspecialty.com.
