SCOR Names Swiss Re’s Forgeron as P&C Chief Underwriting Officer
SCOR announced that Laure Forgeron has been appointed P&C global chief underwriting officer, effective Jan. 5.
She reports to Jean-Paul Conoscente, CEO of SCOR P&C, and is a member of the Group Executive Committee.

She joins SCOR from Swiss Re where she worked for more than 16 years, in roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she was CUO casualty, a position she held from April 2023 to January 2026, according to her LinkedIn profile.
“With more than 15 years of recognized international experience in property and casualty reinsurance, her mission is to define and drive the P&C underwriting and portfolio strategy across reinsurance, insurance, alternative solutions, and facultative business,” commented SCOR’s CEO Thierry Léger, in a statement. “Together with her team, she will ensure excellence in risk assessment and underwriting, while bringing strategic insights to the market team to drive performance.”

Hamilton Re Promotes Steinhoff to CUO
Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd. announced the appointment of Susan Steinhoff as chief underwriting officer at Hamilton Re, the company’s Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance underwriting platform.
Steinhoff brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience, having held senior roles at ACE (now Chubb) and joining Hamilton in its early days in 2014.
In her new role, which was effective on January 1, Steinhoff will lead underwriting activities across Hamilton Re and reports to Adrian Daws, chief executive officer at Hamilton Re. She succeeds Tim Duffin who became group CUO on January 1, 2026.
In connection with Steinhoff’s promotion, Peter Riihiluoma will succeed Steinhoff as SVP, head of Property Reinsurance, and Sergio Lottimore will succeed Riihiluoma as SVP, head of Specialty reinsurance.

Her expertise and client centric approach have earned her respect across the industry.”
