Community First Bankshares, has acquired insurance agencies in Wyoming and Minnesota through its affiliate, Community First Insurance Agencies, Inc. The acquisition of Barnard Insurance Agency, with offices in Casper and Douglas, marks the company’s entrance into Wyoming. In addition, Community First has purchased Oftedahl Insurance Services in Marshall and Minneota, Minn.
The acquired agencies had combined revenues of more than $655,000 in 2000. Community First’s insurance companies provide insurance products in 43 locations serving communities in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
Community First Bankshares operates full-service banking offices in 155 communities in 12 states — Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
