An affiliate of Fargo, N.D.-based Community First Bankshares Inc. has acquired Larry Levitt Insurance Inc., located in Rock Springs, Wyo.
It is the 15th insurance agency purchase since 2000, according to a statement released by the company. Forty-nine of the bank’s 136 markets now offer insurance products.
Community First’s insurance revenues were up 25 percent in the first quarter over a year ago, thanks to the acquisitions and growth.
Community First’s insurance agencies are Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
