Itasca, Ill.-based brokerage giant Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of Babcock Consulting Inc. of Metairie, La. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1997, Babcock Consulting Inc. offers a wide range of employee benefit consultation and brokerage services that include benefit plan customization, financial analysis, legislative compliance, and employee communication support. Clayton Babcock and his associates will continue to operate out of their current office under the direction of David Ziegler, executive vice president, Eastern region of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
