The Professional Insurance Agents Political Action Committee (PIAPAC) has named Carter A. “Cap” Peterson of Wayne, Neb., as its 2004 person of the year. Peterson is a national director of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and a board member of PIAPAC.
The award was presented during the annual PIAPAC gala fundraising dinner held March 25, 2004 in Washington, D.C. Rep. Scott Garrett (R-New Jersey) delivered the keynote address at the event, held following the 2004 PIA federal legislative summit. Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Arizona), a former PIA member, also spoke.
