Appleton, Wis.-based mutual SECURA Insurance received an A.M. Best rating upgrade to “A” (excellent), upgraded from “A-” (excellent), with a stable outlook.
SECURA’s rating reflects A.M. Best’s opinion of SECURA’s financial strength and excellent ability to meet its ongoing obligations to policyholders.
“A.M. Best’s assessment of our company is important to our associates, our agents, our policyholders, and our community,” said SECURA CEO John Bykowski in a statement. “At a time when A.M. Best’s rating downgrades significantly outnumber upgrades, I’m proud that the work of SECURA’s dedicated associates and agents has resulted in a strong balance sheet and operating results consistently outpacing the industry.”
SECURA, which sells commercial, personal and farm insurance, has 390 independent agents throughout the Midwest.
