Appleton, Wis.-based SECURA Insurance Cos. announced that it will soon introduce a desktop farm rating software program for its agents. The program, called AgRate, will be downloaded through its Web site.
Agents will simply enter risk information into the rating program and then immediately receive an accurate quotation that can be reviewed on-screen and/or printed in worksheet format. AgRate will store quotes and automatically check for, and alert agents to, available software updates.
AgRate also has the capability to print customized agency cover sheets for agencies’ quotes, including their logo. SECURA’s farm application and related forms, within the system, will automatically fill with risk information entered in the quote. If the quote is acceptable, the remaining risk information may be entered on the application and electronically submitted to us. Agency default options will permit customized selection of several optional coverages, and explanatory help screens will be available.
AgRate is targeted to be released first in Michigan at the end of March and throughout the rest of the year in SECURA’s other farm states (Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota).
