May 5, 2006

Southfield, Mich.-based North Pointe Holdings Corp. today announced that it has received an endorsement from the Roller Skating Association International, a not-for profit organization representing approximately 1,000 skating centers.

North Pointe plans to offer both property and general liability coverage to roller skating facilities on a national level. The company has written a blend of coverages for approximately 100 centers since the beginning of the second quarter.

James Petcoff, chairman and chief executive officer, qualified the opportunity, “We are pleased to receive this endorsement from RSA and see roller skating centers as a direct extension of our bowling center specialty, with similar coverage amounts, underwriting, risk and margins. This is a great opportunity to leverage our experience and knowledge base.”

North Pointe Holdings is a property and casualty insurer that markets both specialty commercial and personal insurance products. With a focus on owner- operated businesses, the company identifies itself as the nation’s largest insurer of independent bowling centers and the largest insurer of liquor liability insurance in Michigan.

The Roller Skating Association International is a trade association representing skating center owners and operators; teachers, coaches and judges of roller skating; and manufacturers and suppliers of roller skating equipment.
