Ill.-based wholesaler Avreco has announced that one of its carriers has significantly reduced its medical malpractice rates for standard doctors, as well hard-to-place doctors within Illinois and outside of Cook County, by over 25 percent.
The carrier is “A” rated by A.M. Best and has specialized in medical malpractice coverage since 1946. The carrier offers a free and confidential claims advice hotline, according to the Avreco written release.
Details of the coverage include consent to settle (no hammer clause), defense outside of limits, free tail coverage for death or disability or retirement at age 55 after 5 years of coverage, and an unlimited extended reporting period available for continued maximum protection. This coverage is competitive against all Illinois medical malpractice carriers.
