Western Group President Re-elected Director for Minn. Insurance Federation

Western National Insurance Group (WNIG), based in Edina, Minn., today announced that its President and CEO Stuart C. Henderson, JD, CPCU, has been re-elected for a three-year term as a director for the Insurance Federation of Minnesota. He will also continue to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board.

“I am looking forward to continued service on behalf of this great organization,” said Henderson. “In today’s uncertain political environment, it is all the more important for the insurance industry in Minnesota to speak with one voice as we go forward with our commitment to ensuring long term financial security for our policyholders.”

WNIG’s Vice President and General Counsel Joseph Pingatore, JD, CPCU, will also serve the IFM community as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee, and in the role of secretary/treasurer.

The newly expanded Western National Insurance Group consists of five regional property and casualty insurance companies with direct written premium in excess of $240 million and total assets of $470 million, according to the company release.

Western National Mutual Insurance Co. writes personal and commercial lines in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota and Iowa. All Western National Insurance Group companies distribute their insurance products solely via the independent agency system.

The Insurance Federation of Minnesota (IFM) is a non-profit state insurance trade association representing approximately 75 insurance companies and several other related organizations. Members are either headquartered in Minnesota or have significant operations here.
