Chicago, Ill.-based Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Brian J. Murphy as vice president, Brokerage Operations.
Mark Strong, president of Geo. F. Brown and Sons, said that “Brian’s main charge will be to significantly grow our liquor liability, binding authority and open brokerage operations.” Murphy will report to Strong and work out of the Chicago headquarters.
Murphy has more than 15 years commercial insurance experience according to the company statement. Prior to joining Geo. F. Brown & Sons, Inc., he served as director of Business Development for the Horton Group, one of the top 50 insurance agencies in the country. His work experience includes various underwriting, program development, marketing and distribution management roles at CNA and Zurich.
