I wonder what the ACLU thinks about this.

Challenging the government’s bailout of AIG because AIG has a product for a certain religious group has just as much merit as challenging agricultural subsidies to farmers who sell beef to Hebrew National hot dogs.

The ACLU, which is neither American nor is it interested in true civil liberties, rears its ugly head only when its pro-communist and anti-Christian agenda is being threatened. This is about Islam, so for the ACLU, it’s perfectly ok.

but because we had the government pay farmers to grow corn for the RUSSIA, back in the day, does that mean they promoted communism? um..um.. i think it’s another avenue for someone to spend money frivilously and extend the court process for the us gov’t to get a return on it’s bailout money. does this guy think that AIG offers products to other folks? or is he so interested in just a small corner of AIG? i think they will toss this one out! besides, why are we being so discriminatory? afterall, no one person is better than the other.

Agree with you, Ratemaker. This is not an “Interesting Angle”, it’s a stupid angle. Kevin Murray of Washtenaw County is just some jerk clutching at straws, or more likely, just looking for his 15 minutes of fame. Kevin, your 15 minutes is up. Now go away.

Lets say he wins the suit. Does he expect that the government will have to divest itself of AIG or that AIG will have to stop selling takaful products? More likely, the outcome would be the latter.
