Iowa Insurance Commissioner Susan Voss has approved a request for a 2.3 percent overall rate increase for workers’ compensation insurance in that state.
The filing was submitted by the National Council on Compensation Insurance Inc. on Aug. 12.
The commissioner’s order stated that the insurance department had not received a request for a hearing on the rate filing. The new rate will go into effect Jan. 1, 2010.
