IMA Inc., a retail insurance brokerage, announced that Michael Whipps has joined as president of the company’s Kansas City, Kan., office. IMA of Kansas City is part of the IMA Financial Group Inc., a financial services company specializing in insurance, asset and risk management with 450 employees and offices in seven markets across the nation.
Prior to joining IMA in 2011, Whipps was senior vice president and construction practice group leader for Willis of Kansas. He began his insurance career in 1981 and has served in important management roles with regional and national brokers.
