after 14 times the judge just now tells him is a threat to the community. unfortunately this guy will probably be released early for good behavior. our tax dollars will sober him up until he is let loose. unreal
Locking him up may not “help” him, but it will keep everyone lese safer for the next 4years. PTSD is an awful thing, but there is help for these fellows.
Don’t disagree, locking him up does help safeguard the public. But is there REALLY help out there for these guys? Look at the guys (and girls) coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan, even when they go the VA and state they are a danger to themselves and others, the VA’s “target’ is to get their wait time down to 4 months or less for help. Some of the Vietnam Vets passed the point of no return over 40 years ago… they are now just trying to end the movie in their head, any way they can. Unfortunately that also puts others at risk
I don’t doubt that he has PTSD, and that is incredibly difficult to cope and function with. I hope he can get care for it. But this man should never drive again. Don’t know if he still had a valid license? Hard to keep someone from driving. But yes, after 14 times, PTSD or not, jail time is appropriate for such a habitual law breaker.
I do not understand HOW people are allowed to get to 14!!! I understand PTSD as my brother and brother in law suffer from it. It is HORRIBLE, yes, but that does not mean he should be allowed to potentially take other lives. He isn’t just being irresponsible… Or maybe making wrong decisions, He could kill someone. I respect all former and current soldiers, but this could also kill him. I hope that perhaps someone reaches out to him in jail to help him. This is really sad to me :(
Hopefully 4 years is enough time for him to sober up.

3 times the legal limit? I’m surprised he hasn’t suffered from alcohol poisoning! Hope he gets the help he needs and deserves when he gets out.
He will just learn about fermentation in prison and make some jailhouse liquor.
