Cincinnati, Ohio-based insurance holding company, American Financial Group Inc. has promoted Michelle A. (Shelly) Gillis to senior vice president.
Since March 2012, Gillis has served as vice president and chief administrative officer of the company with responsibilities for human resources, corporate communications, real estate and various shared service areas.
Prior to this role, Gillis served as vice president overseeing human resources. Since joining the company in 2004, she held various senior human resource management positions. Previously, Gillis was a vice president and senior HR business partner of Fifth Third Bank.
Through the operations of Great American Insurance Group, AFG is engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialized commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of fixed and fixed-indexed annuities in the education, bank and individual markets.
