Chicago-based Kemper Corp. announced that Andrea James has been named president, Kemper Preferred, the business focused on selling packaged private passenger auto and home policies through independent agents.
Prior to this role, James joined Kemper Preferred as senior vice president, marketing and sales, responsibilities she will retain. She will continue to report to Denise I. Lynch, property and casualty group executive at Kemper Corp.
James joined Kemper Preferred in May 2012 and brought with her more than 20 years of industry experience. She has worked on the agency side as well as the insurance company side. Prior to joining Kemper, James worked at Fireman’s Fund, where her most recent position was senior vice president/distribution executive. Prior to that, she served as vice president, national sales leader. She has also held senior leadership roles at Bank of America and Allstate.
