Kokomo, Ind., police say a dog left alone in a truck apparently bumped the vehicle’s gear shift, causing the truck to roll down a street and strike a parked vehicle.
A police report says the dog’s owner told officers he parked his truck with his dachshund in the front seat and left the manual transmission in gear.
The Kokomo Tribune reports police believe the dog bumped the gear shift, located on the truck’s floor, into neutral. The truck then rolled down the street and into a vehicle parked along the opposite side of the street.
The canine wasn’t injured, but the truck was slightly damaged.
