A St. Paul, Minn., Parks and Recreation employee has filed a claim against the city for damages she caused to her personal car while driving a rented city van.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Megan Campbell filed the claim seeking $1,600 to $1,900 after she hit her own parked car with the van.
Campbell says the city should pay because she was working for the city and driving a city vehicle at the time. She graduated from college this year and has been working for the parks department since May.
City Clerk Shari Moore has received about 400 claims this year and says this one is “very unusual.”
A department spokesman says the claim has some discrepancies and will be considered by the city’s accident review board.
