First medical use, then recreational, then Meth, then Cocaine, then Heroine. The pattern will continue as in other states that already did this.

Why do you continue to think drugs lead to women heroes?

How many times do you have to be schooled on this? Meth, coke, heroin, and mary all produce WAAAY different effects. One does not lead to the other. If that was the case, we’d have about 75% of the NBA all coked and junked up.

These people are unbelievable. There is no reason for them to go to school beyond age 12,because as soon as they can read they are as far as they can go education wise. The only thing that matters is their initial reaction and belief about something which then becomes “fact” forever, no matter what.

CNN News: Dr. Sanjay Gupta of CNN now a advocate for the benefits of marijuana. FDA has been approving marijuana based synthetic drugs since 1985. However, the medical and science community are now asking, “why are synthetic drugs so dangerous and natural marijuana not dangerous?”

If you are against Medical Cannabis, you are for pharmaceuticals. Plain and simple. Let me drop some facts on you real quick.

How many people have over-dosed and died on Prescription Pain Killers?

Overdose deaths involving prescription opioids have quadrupled since 1999, and so have sales of these prescription drugs. From 1999 to 2014, more than 165,000 people have died in the U.S. from overdoses related to prescription opioids.

How many people have over-dosed and died on Cannabis, ever?

I only count 5 recreational users on this forum as evidenced by the replies. Are you going to now promote the idea that Marijuana helps your work performance?

Lol oh no, Meth and Coke and Heroin(this happens to in fact the correct spelling) will make it’s way into North Dakota if we pass a law that allows for a medicine to be given to sick people. I’m sorry to be the one to tell you, but METH, COKE and HEROIN is already here and harming our state and has been for quite some time.

I’m apologize that your DARE officer lied to you. Colorado has proven that Cannabis is not a ‘Gateway’ drug.

There is an interesting statistic coming out of Colorado’s legalization of recreational cannabis. According to the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA), all drug-related charges have dropped by 23% on a judicial district level. It seems that ending pot prohibition can have positive effects in other areas of the war on drugs.

These comments are about to get some facts.

How many people have over-dosed and died on Prescription Pain Killers?

“Overdose deaths involving prescription opioids have quadrupled since 1999, and so have sales of these prescription drugs. From 1999 to 2014, more than 165,000 people have died in the U.S. from overdoses related to prescription opioids.”

How many people have over-dosed and died on Cannabis?

    NO ONE EVER.

“Marijuana is non-lethal and does not contribute to or increase the likelihood of death. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has never listed marijuana as a cause of death”

You want MEDICAL pot to be illegal? You must feel safe with Alcohol being completely legal right?

“Nearly 88,000 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the fourth leading preventable cause of death in the United States. In 2014, alcohol-impaired driving fatalities accounted for 9,967 deaths (31 percent of overall driving fatalities).”

Can we please focus on some real issues in our state?

ALL INFORMATION IS FROM THE CDC OR DPA YOU ARE FREE TO LOOK AT IT YOURSELF AND FACT CHECK ME.

Medicine should be based on science, not politics or public opinion.

How many recreational users brain has been turned into mush and feel the need to graduate to much more serious drugs? You are ignoring the FACTS. Are you high as you type?

Not many graduate to more serious drugs as compared to how many use recreationally… that’s a myth.
But moreover, why not then take this strong stance ON the serious drugs as opposed to the perceived pipelines to them… ?

Hey Recreational users, please tell me why the NFL suspends players for recreational use of the weed? Happens all the time. The latest example is Trent Williams, the All Pro tackle of the Redskins. Poor Trent has been caught before back in 2011, served his suspension and then said he didn’t want to be known as a drug head and a poor example to kids. Well, he just got caught again and will serve another 4 game suspension, miss 4 game checks not to mention it hurting his team mates when they are competitive this year. The next suspension will be 10 games and may effectively end his career. What other team will take a chance on him and pay him big money. Recreational users have to be the dumbest people ever.

DARE officer? Agent graduated well before there were DARE officers. Everything Agent learned about marijuana comes from “Reefer Madness”. Everything he knows about cocaine and heroin comes from “Miami Vice”. Finally, it’s not 100% confirmed he knows anything about meth. In his world, though, marijuana leads to those drugs. In reality, someone who smokes up is probably more likely to abuse alcohol or take a hallucinogenic. More likely than that, though? Order some food, watch a movie, or read a book.
