Brit Ltd. (Brit) has appointed Mark Richards as senior vice president, General Liability for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU). Based in Chicago, Richards will report to Doug Trainor, executive vice president, Casualty.
Richards brings over 30 years of underwriting experience across casualty classes. He joins from Navigators Group, where he was president, Primary Casualty Division and was responsible for leading its E&S primary casualty platform. Prior to this, Richards launched and grew the E&S primary casualty division at Argonaut Specialty Division (part of Argo Group). Earlier in his career, Richards held underwriting roles at Axis Insurance, CNA, Zurich and others.
Brit is a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. BGSU underwrites on behalf of Brit Syndicate 2987, is headquartered in Chicago and has underwriting expertise in all US time zones.
