Chicago-based insurance brokerage Hub International Limited (Hub) has hired sports and entertainment specialist, Darren Hickey, and acquired a motorsports book of business as well, the company announced.
Hickey, who is based in Indianapolis, will join Hub Southeast, bringing with him his depth of experience in motorsports insurance. The company expects his expertise to complement and strengthen Hub’s sports and entertainment Specialty practice.
Until this month, Hickey had served as a vice president in the commercial insurance division of the Indianapolis-based agency, Gregory & Appel Inc., according to Hickey’s LinkedIn page. He had worked at Gregory & Appel since 1998, providing risk management within a sports and entertainment practice, with a specialty in motorsports business, including teams, drivers, manufacturers and other entities.
