Missouri’s Insurance Plus Joins Valley Insurance Agency Alliance

Insurance Plus LLC, a newly formed agency based in Columbia, Mo., has joined Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), a network more than 130 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois.

Insurance Plus, which has merged with VIAA member Mulligan Insurance, is the sister company of Accounting Plus Inc., a full-service accounting and payroll firm that has served the mid-Missouri community since 1992.

Insurance Plus was founded by Accounting Plus owners Denise Nelson and Tina Marso. The new agency specializes in commercial insurance, specifically “pay as you go” workers compensation policies, as well as home, auto and life insurance.

Mulligan Insurance owner Lance Hall joined Insurance Plus as director of Operations. He brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to the agency.

Founded in 2006, VIAA generates more than $250 million in written premium and is the regional founding member for the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA), a more than $8 billion national alliance.
